The default setting for this log is off, even if you pick the File and Print server role. When setting up a print server on Windows Server enable logging perform the following steps:
- Login to the server
- From Server Manager, expand Diagnostics and Event Viewer
- Expand Applications and Services Logs
- Expand the Microsoft folder, expand the Windows folder
- Expand the PrintServices folder
- Right-click on the Operational Log, and click Enable Log
